COVID-19 Assam: 3 Patients Donate Plasma at GMCH

Three patients of COVID-19 who have recovered from the disease have donated their plasma at Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for the treatment of the infected patients.

The three patients namely Dharani Kalita (26) from Kamrup, Jugal Das (38), Kamrup Metro and Pranab Kalita (26) of Kamrup have donated their plasma at GMCH after their recovery.

State Health and Family Welfare Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma congratulated them and expressed gratitude towards them for donating their plasma saying that this kind of act is inspiring and will help treat the COVID-19 infected patients.

The minister in his tweet said, "Shri Dharani Kalita (26) from Baranghati, Kamrup Rural has donated his plasma at GMCH #plasmabank.

Such act of benevolence by young heroes like him is highly inspiring!"

"Shri Jugal Das (38) of Amerigog, Kamrup Metro donated his plasma at GMCH #plasmabank.

Your contribution in our fight against #COVID19 is vital. It shall inspire many others to come forward for this noble cause," he said in another tweet.

In yet another tweet, the minister salutes their spirit saying, "Shri Pranab Kalita (26) from Baranghati, Kamrup Rural volunteered to donate his plasma to GMCH #plasmabank for treatment of #COVID patients.

We salute his spirit to serve others."
