Pratidin Bureau

As a consoling aspect in an otherwise seemingly gloomy situation, 447 more COVID-19 patients have been discharged across Assam. While 388 were discharged after recovery on Tuesday, the remaining 59 were discharged on Monday itself in addition to the 449 patients who were discharged on the same day.

Announcing this on Twitter, Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, "447 more patients have been discharged ~ 388 today, and 59 more on July 6." He added, "Gratitude to doctors & nurses!"

A total of 8329 people have been discharged in Assam so far out of the 12522 people infected by the virus. On the other hand, with one more death due to COVID-19 announced today, the death toll in Assam has gone up to 15.
