COVID-19: Assam CS Urges People To Continue Preventive Measures

Assam Chief Secretary Kumar Sanjay Krishna asked people to continue with all the preventive measures of COVID-19 as the numbers of cases have increased slightly on Monday.

The state registered 2371 cases yesterday out of which 414 have been reported from Kamrup Metro. "#Covid19 factsheet Assam as of 3rd August,2020 . There is a slight increase in the number of the cases in Kamrup (M) , so would like to urge everyone to continue taking all the preventive measures and staying safe," the Chief Secretary said in his tweet.

Notably, 2, 16,171 Rapid Antigen Tests have been conducted as on August 3 out of which 15,974 have tested positive while 2, 00, 197 have tested negative. The positivity rate is said to have 7.39 percent.

However, in Kamrup (M) 58,391 rapid antigen tests have been conducted as on August 3 out of which 5,742 have tested positive and 52,649 cases have tested negative. The positivity rate in the district is 9.8 percent.
