Assam has lost two lives to coronavirus (COVID-19) infection on Thursday, pushing the death tally to 50 in the state.

Extending his condolences to the bereaved families and friends, health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, stated, Bidul Ahmed (50) from Baksa and Upen Ch Sharma (63) from Kamrup (Metro) succumbed to their infections today.

According to the Death Audit Board, the state's death rate is at 0.24 percent.
