COVID-19 Assam: Morigaon Man Dies After Testing Positive

A person from Morigaon died on Friday night after testing positive for COVID-19.

Identified as Hashim Ali (62 years), the deceased suffered from stroke on Thursday night following which he was admitted to Marigaon Civil Hospital.

However, he was moved to GNRC Guwahati on Friday where he tested positive for the contagion in the morning.

Ali breathed his last on Friday night.

Following his demise, his body was not allowed to be carried back home by the authorities concerned.

His last rites are expected to be performed on Sunday at Islampur Graveyard.
