Deben Dutta Murder: IMA Demands Assam CM’s Intervention

A team of Indian Medical Association (IMA) has visited the house of Dr. Deben Dutta on Wednesday and criticized the Assam government and also demanded the Chief Minister to make its stand clear on the issue within 24-hours or else they will observe nationwide protest.

The IMA alsohave doubt in Investigation Officer, Additional Commissioner Shoven Gowala. TheIMA also submitted a memorandum to the Prime Minister of India, Union HomeMinister and Health Minister through the deputy commissioner of Jorhat.

The team ofIMA comprises of General Secretary of Central Committee Dr. R.N. Tandon,Finance Secretary Dr. Ramesh Dutta along with State Committee President Dr.Satyajit Bora and Secretary Dr. Hemanga Baishya.

The IMA holda discussion with the doctors at Doctors Club in Jorhat and asked to takestrict action against the culprits through the fast track court and also askedto keep an eye on the security of the doctors.

Meanwhile,doctors staged protest across the state following the murder of Dr. Deben Duttademanding justice.
