Deprived of salary, Nagaon Paper Mill Employee commits suicide

In an extremely unfortunate incident at the Nagaon Paper Mill in Jagiroad, an officer named Biswajit Mazumdar committed suicide after being deprived of the monthly salaries for more than 27 months.

According to reports, the salary deprived employee was suffering from depression after the paper mill was shut down followed with bankruptcy.

Biswajit was a high-ranked officer of the distribution department in the paper mill. His body was found hanging from the ceiling of his room at the Senior Hostel of the paper mill. Meanwhile, Jagiroad Police recovered the body and sent it for an autopsy.

It may be mentioned that the Nagaon and Cachar paper mills had been stopped for the last two years hitting the employees hard.
