The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has taken out a protestrally at Dibrugarh against All Assam Students' Union (AASU). On September 9,clash erupts between ABVP and AASU after AASU members allegedly assaulted ABVPmembers after they were returning from the election campaign for their candidatefor the upcoming election.   

After the conflict, AASU members along with the students of DibrugarhUniversity have staged protest till midnight of September 9 and warned ABVP notto politicize the incident. AASU also lodged a complaint against ABVP for whichthe protest rally has been organized by ABVP on Saturday.

The ABVP and a section of BJP members have also gheraoed the office ofthe Superintendent of Police and demanded to arrest the AASU members whoattacked ABVP members outside the Dibrugarh University on September 9.

ABVP also demanded to make the university campus free from AASUmembers.
