Dibrugarh Varsity To Resume Online Classes From Jan 22

In view of the worsening COVID-19 situation in the state, the Dibrugarh University has decided to resume online classes from January 22 to January 31.

This was notified by the office of the registrar, Dibrugarh University following a meeting of all deans, heads of the teaching departments, and chairpersons of the Centres for Studies and Director (DUIET), Dibrugarh University.

“The above decision is taken in view of the mass infection of COVID-19 on the teachers, employees and students of Dibrugarh University during the last few days. The University shall review the prevailing situation of COVID-19 from time to time and change or update on the present decision shall be notified accordingly,” the notification reads.

Amid the declaration of four micro containment zones and an epicentre in the Dibrugarh University campus by the District Disaster Management Authority, Dibrugarh district due to detection of COVID-19 positive cases, the cancellation of all regular classes of the University Teaching Departments, Centres of studies and Dibrugarh University Institute of Engineering and Technology (DUIET) was extended up to January 21, 2022.

Further, students have been directed to come to their hostels, not before one day of resuming their classes.
