Dispur police on Friday arrested a drug peddler with 100 grams of brown sugar from Sixmile area of Guwahati.

Identified as Nur Islam (18), the drug peddler was carrying the drug concealed inside his helmet.

Police also seized 20 containers and four mobile phones from his possession.

Hailing from Assam's Dhubri district, Islam was residing at a rented house in Panjabari area of the city.

Islam was caught by police at Sixmile after having been chased for long hours.

He is currently being interrogated by the police.
