The Nagaon district and sessions judge's court will frame charges against the 47-arrested accused in the Dokmoka lynching case on Saturday. The infamous Dokmoka lynching took the life of two youths Nilotpal Das and Abhijeet Nath.

Earlier, following a decision by the Assam government, the Gauhati High Court ordered the sensational Dokmoka lynching case to be transferred to Nagaon District Court from Diphu Session Court. A charge sheet of 844 pages was filed on the case on September 1 after almost 75 days of the incident.

The Gauhati HC ordered the case to be tried in Nagaon court through a suo motu cognizance in one of its PIL. The HC has specifically asked the session judge to take up the case. In its order, the HC also asked the case not be taken over by the Additional Session judge.

Previously, the Nagaon court on November 8, fixed December 1 as the date when charges will be framed against the 47 accused persons allegedly involved in the lynching of Nilotpal Das and Abhijeet Nath in Karbi Anglong's Dokmoka on the horrific night of June 8.
