Drive through Kaziranga corridor with care: GP Singh

Pratidin Bureau

With no let-up in the flood situation in Assam, vast areas of Kaziranga are submerged, forcing wild animals, including rhinos, elephants, deer, and wild boars, to take refuge in artificial highlands constructed within the parks or migrate to the southern highlands of Karbi Anglong hills.

As National Highway 37 is getting widened to accommodate the rise in traffic, Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) GP Singh asked the citizens to drive through the National Park corridor with care.

With flooded forests, images of wild animals fleeing their natural habitat have become a usual sight.
