Locals of Jharwala village caught a drug peddler namely Abul Hussain on Friday night at Jharwala in Patharkandi.

Based on a secret tip-off, the peddler had been caught red handed by the villagers.

This was followed by villagers' informed local police station and Patharkandi Police had taken the drug peddler in custody.

Police managed to seize twenty two containers of drugs from his possession.

It may be mentioned the accused had been running smuggling of drugs in the area for a long time.
