The Crime Branch of Bharalu Police on Sunday morning detained one with drugs valued several thousand. Based on a secret tip-off, the peddler has been caught red handed by the police.

Identified as Nisad Ali alias Nadim has been apprehended from FA Road in Machkhowa allegedly for carrying illicit drugs. Reportedly, cash worth Rs. 22, 870 and four mobile phones have also been seized from Nadim. "Follow up action is being initiated in this regard," informed a police official.

On the other hand, a woman has been detained from Merapani in connection with smuggling drugs. Police and security forces on Saturday night carried the search operation to nab the woman with drugs worth several lakhs.
