Drunk driver hits BJP office; 12 injured

In a sensational accident in Gogamukh area under Dhemaji district, a vehicle carrying security personnel hit a temporary BJP office and caught fire immediately. At least 12 people including a pregnant lady suffered injuries following the incident and two of them were in critical condition.

The incident took place at Betnihula village in Gogamukh. Locals in the village alleged that the driver of the vehicle, carrying the security personnel, was drinking and has lost his control and hit the temporary BJP office.

According to eyewitnesses, the leak in the fuel tank of the vehicle engulfs it in flames. Meanwhile, polling in the area has been halted.
