Earthquake Hits Assam

A mild intensity earthquake measuring 4.7 on the Richter scale today jolted the state. The tremors were felt at around 8:01 pm, this evening. The epicenter of the quake is said to be at East Garo hills in Meghalaya.

No damage or casualties have been reported so far.
