Amild intensity earthquake measuring 4.4 on the Richter scale jolted Assam on Sundaynight.

Thetremors were felt at around 11:25 PM. The epicenter of the quake is said to be 23kilometers South from Tezpur, near Raha area.

Nodamage or casualties have been reported so far.
