EC’ clean chit to Modi, Shah: SC refuses to hear Sushmita Dev’s plea

The Supreme Court on Wednesday refused to hear Congress MP Sushmita Dev's plea seeking action against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP chief Amit Shah for alleged poll code violations and asked her to file a fresh petition. 

As Election Commission has decided the MCC violation complaints by the Congress party against PM Modi and Shah, she could challenge the orders in Election Petition in case of objection, adding that the court cannot "go into the merits of the orders in this petition.

"Rightly or wrongly, decision has been made. Challenge it in court," : court added.
