Falooda drinks have been banned in Guwahati. The Food Safety Department on Tuesday conducted a search operation at a godown in Guwahati and banned the selling of the dessert after preliminary tests.

According to reports, the Food Safety Department conducted the search operation and collected samples from four vehicles. However, a group of vendors escaped the spot immediately after the officials arrived at the godown. After inspection, the officials of the department also found that there were no permits to sell Falooda in Guwahati.

After preliminary tests, the officials banned the selling of Falooda in the city till further notice.
