Today, Abhijeet Nath and Nilotpal Das' families observe the first death anniversary of the duo at their respective homes.

A death that had jolted not only Assam or India but people across the globe mourned their deaths. Deaths that had left a deep scar in the hearts of the people of the state.

The inhumane incident feels as if it was just yesterday that two talented youths were beaten to death by a mob in Karbi Anglong's Dokmoka over a circulated rumour of child lifters on social media.

Presently, the case of mob lynching is being tried at Nagaon Court.
