FANI | State Ferry services shut down

  • The state ferry services shall be suspended from plying over Brahmaputra and Barak river till 5th May with immediate effect due to Cyclone FANI.
  • The officers In-charges of the ferry Ghats/Commercial service/Construction site/workshop are requested to remain vigilant regarding the maintenance /Mooring, securing of boats/vessels etc. under IWT Assam.
  • Inland Water Transport authority in an official statement told media.
  • Cyclonic storm Fani over Bay of Bengal moved north-northeastwards on Friday evening.
