Firing in Sonari, 3 detained

Just one day after the Doom Dooma firing incident, reports of another firing has shocked Sonari. The incident occurred at Namtola in the Assam Nagaland border on Saturday.

In an attack and counter-attack between the police and a group of smuggled weapon dealers, there was exchange of shots in the area after which the police was successful in catching hold of 3 miscreants from the group of dealers. However, there were no reports of any casualties.

Reportedly, out of the three dealers who were detained, two of them are Naga and the other belongs to Assam. The three held are identified as New Konyak, Eyangpang Konyak and Abidur Rahman.

A .22 pistol, magazine and empty cartridge have also been recovered from the three miscreants.
