Flood Relief | Assam MPs Thank PM Modi

Assam MPs conveyed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for immediate sanction of 251.55 crore rupees from SDRF relief fund for the purpose of relief for the people affected by floods in Assam.

They also urged to provide additional fund under the Flood Management and Border Areas Programme (FMBAP) Scheme for effective flood management and erosion control to assist the State Government to provide protection against floods in Assam.

The State government has stepped up its efforts to mobilise financial assistance from various sources to provide relief to the stricken families in the flood-affected areas and take up the reconstruction of damaged infrastructure including roads, bridges, and buildings.
