Former AGP MLA RekhaRani Das Boro Joins BJP

Former Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) MLA and Minister Rekharani Das Boro on Wednesday formally joined Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in it's headquarter at Hengrabari.

After the joining of RekhaRani Das Boro, state BJP President Ranjit Dass said that they won't allow any political leaders to join the party further from Thursday. He said that other people of the society can join the party but no political leaders will be accepted.

Dass further stated that there will be no joining of political leadersin the party in the district and block level as well and this decision has beentaken on the request of the Trinamool members of the party.

Meanwhile, 16, 94,051 people have received new member post of theparty. The newly added member, however, will not be able to participate in the partyelection.

Moreover, RekhaRani Boro joined the party expressing dissatisfaction over AGP saying that the party leaders have closed the doors for her.
