Former Arunachal CM Gegong joins JD-S

Pratidin Bureau

Former Arunachal Pradesh CM-cum- BJP leader Gegong Apang has joined the Janata Dal-Secular (JD-S). In a letter to BJP president Amit Shah, Apang expressed his disappointment that BJP is not following former beloved PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee's principle.

"JD-S was a secular party which is headed by former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda and that was the reason I decided to join this party."- Apang said.

He joined JD-S on Wednesday after resigned from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) last month."

Gegong had joined the BJP in 2014 after resigning from the Congress.
