Four AJYP workers arrested in Sonari

Four Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuba Parishad (AJCP) workers have been arrested by the Namtola Police in Sonari on Saturday. The workers has been arrested on dacoity charges by the police.

The arrested members are Plawan Sharma, Sahil Hussain, Pallabjyoti Sharma and Jewel Hazarika.

Another accused in the same case named Sandip Neog is on the run. Sandip is a central Committee member of AJYP.

The four workers have been arrested after a case was filed against them by local businessman Manik Malakar of beating his driver and robbing money in Namtola. The incident occurred on November 11 last year.
