Gaurav slams govt over handling of flood situation

Kaliabor MP Gaurav Gogoi criticised the state water resources department over its handling of floods in Assam, a charge refuted by the ruling BJP.

While visiting the flood-affected areas like Lamchapori, Bohi Khua, Bahguri, Gormara, etc. MP Gogoi said that for the activeness of locals, scores of victims have managed to survive in this devastation.

It may be mentioned that MP Gogoi, MLA Rupjyoti Kurmi, Ex-MLA Arati Kachari have been taking stock of flood-affected areas for since yesterday in the Lok Sabha constituency.

Gogoi asked the respective local administration to provide sufficient relief materials among flood victims.
