In a tragic incident, two higher secondary students  fell into Disang river at Sivasagar's Disangmukh Afala. The incident occurred at around 10 am on Sunday.

The two girls has been identified as Ajali Chetri and Purnima Chetri of Philobari Tinsukia.

According to reports,  Ajali Chetri  and Purnima Chetri slipped from a rock and fell into the river while they went to .

The State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) team have started a rescue operation but the missing duo have not been yet been recovered.
