Girls rescued from brothel in Silchar

On Monday, seven girlshave rescued from a brothel at the Nisiddha Palli region in Silchar, during a jointoperation carried out by Cachar police with the Sakti Samuh Organisation ofNepal.

As per reports, four girls among the seven are minors whereas the rest of the three are elder.

It has been alleged that a woman named Makhirani Lakhmi Tamang was running a sex racket with the help of these girls. Police have arrested two girls last July and according to their information police have started the operation in search of the girls.

Reportedly, police have rescued all the seven girls and detained Lakhmi Tamang and started interrogation for more details.
