The APCC President Ripun Bora on Friday has dashed off a letter to Principal Resident Commissioner of Assam House in New Delhi describing the Thursday's incident, which took place at Assam house ahead of the press conference by Former CM Tarun Gogoi.

"Indirect emergency to sabotage democratic voice" APCC Prez Bora says.

Reportedly, Gogoi was not allowed to hold a press conference at Assam house in New Delhi. After which, the miffed Congress veteran had to address the press conference in Gopinath Bordoloi path near Assam house in New Delhi.

"For reasons not known, the authority didn't give the consent to hold a press conference here in Assam house. When I asked the reason, they had failed to illustrate the valid reason. It is an indirect emergency to sabotage democratic voice": Gogoi said.

It may be mentioned that a project for the construction of new Assam House building with a total floor area of 8500 sqm at Gopinath Bordoloi Marg, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi was sanctioned for funding from the Assam Infrastructure Financing Authority at an estimated project cost of Rs. 49.99 crores.
