A person died after falling into the surging waters of the Satrang river in Gohpur today.

The deceased has been identified as Deepak Bhakta.

It must be noted that there has been a sudden rise in the water level of the Satrang river. Gohpur town has found itself in the grip of the river, which has become a threat to roads and bridges.
