A leopard was killed after being hit by a speeding unidentified vehicle in Golaghat on Monday.

The incident took place at National Highway No. 39 near Thuramukh Tinali Morangi.

The leopard came out of the Nambor – Doigrung Wildlife Sanctuary.

A post-mortem examination of the leopard was carried out by the Forest Department.
