On Tuesday night Bongaigaon police arrested Mrs Purnima Mandal, the President of Kirtanpara Gaon Panchayat, from her residence.

Following a case of the Deputy Commissioner of Bongaigaon, police arrested her on the allegation of providing fake certificates.

It has been stated that, on Tuesday night, she was kept in Bongaigaon police station.
