Panic spread in Manja Bazar area under Karbi Anglong district after a group of miscreants hurled a grenade on Thursday evening. According to reports, Dimasa National Liberation Army (DNLA) militant lobbed the grenade in the market.

Meanwhile,bomb disposal experts were called by the police and the spot was immediately evacuated."A case has been registered and an investigation is underway," informed apolice official.

Localsinformed that the DNLA cadres have been terrorizing the area by demanding moneyfrom the locals. Recently, they demanded Rs. 5 lakhs from a businessman namedRamashankar.
