Panicspread in Rangajan area under Golaghat district as a grenade was recovered in thearea on Sunday. The grenade was recovered from the premises of a tea factory inthe area.

Localssuspected that miscreants lobbed the grenade towards the factory from NH-37.The owner of the tea factory is one Sanjib Gogoi. Gogoi immediately informedthe police regarding the recovery of the grenade.

Meanwhile, a team of Golaghat police and bomb expert reached the spot. "A case has been registered and an investigation is underway," informed a police official.

Earlier, Barpeta Police recovered a handmade bomb from Sukhuwarjhar area under the district on Sunday.
