GRP Rescues Child From Pandu, 2 Arrested

The Government Railway Police (GRP) has rescued a child from Pandu on Monday night which was sold from Guwahati Railway Station.

The GRP rescued the child from the house of one Anamika Das who is the sisterof Anupama Das, the constable of Railway Protection Force (RPF).

The GRP arrested both Anupama and Anamika Das and rescued the childfrom their home. The child's mother claims that her husband has sold theirdaughter for Rs. 60,000 and after she lodged an FIR, the GRP launched anoperation to rescue the child.

It has been alleged that the RPF constable is involved in the cases of childtrafficking and sell the children to the child traffickers.
