GU Premise Filled with Posters against CAB

Students' staged protest at Gauhati University by pasting posters against Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB) ahead of Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal's visit to participate in the memorial meeting of Bhimbor Deuri.

The premise of the university has been filled with posters against CABwithin the night. However, the BJP workers removed all the posters thereafter.

Meanwhile, protests erupted across the state against CAB and after the meeting of the Northeast CMs and representatives of other political and non-political organizations with union home minister Amit Shah at New Delhi, people stages protest opposing the decision of the home minister saying that before passing CAB in the Parliament, Clause 6 of the Assam Accord will be implemented to safeguard the indigenous people of the state.
