Gunmen loot cash, jewellery in Guwahati

In yet another sensational incident in Guwahati, unidentified robbers struck in a jewellery in Satgaon on Wednesday night and took away cash as well as jewellery worth lakhs of rupees on gun point. The incident took place around 9 PM at the Alka Jewellery in Satgaon.

According to Police, the unidentified robbers forced their entry into the jewellery of Prasenjit Mudak on gun point, when he was trying to close the store.

On the gun point, the robbers looted cash worth Rs 2.5 lakhs and jewellery worth Rs. 40 lakhs, informed the owner.

On being informed, police reached the spot and started investigation besides registering a case in this regard. The investigating police officer informed that details were being collected from the jewellery to ascertain to exact amount of cash and jewelry looted by the unidentified robbers.

Later the owner of the jewellery has been sent to MMCH for treatment as he sustained injuries after being attacked by the robbers.
