GUWAHATI | 700 Swiggy executives on strike

Pratidin Bureau

Food-delivery platform Swiggy suffered disruptions in delivery service in Guwahati on Sunday after delivery personnel struck work over pay-related demands.

Almost 700 delivery executives gathered at the Swiggy office in the city with the intention of communicating a list of demands towards the company's management.

"The strike would continue indefinitely if the management did not take note of to their requests." Swiggy employees said.

In recent months in the city, other aggregation services like Ola and Uber have also witnessed frequent protests by cab drivers and owners over better pay and incentive requests.
