GUWAHATI | ATM hackers arrested in Mumbai

West Bengal Police on Thursdayarrested two Turkey nationals from Kolkata for allegedly being involved in ATMhacking. The Assam Police had earlier issued lookout notices against both of them.

The arrested hackers wereidentified as Hakan Zamburkan and Fettah Aldemir. According to reports, basedon an input from Tripura Police, the WB Police launched a search operation tonab both the hackers. They were involved in stealing millions of rupees fromthe bank account holders of Assam and Tripura by using ATM hacking device.

After primaryinvestigation, both Zamburkan and Aldemir admitted that they have entered Indiathrough Bangladesh. The WB Police also arrested two Bangladeshi nationals alongwith them.

Meanwhile, a team of AssamPolice will head for Kolkata to get the custody of Zamburkan and Aldemir.

It may be mentioned herethat earlier the Assam Police had arrested another two Turkey nationals fromMumbai in September this year.
