The Crime Investigation department (CID) on Tuesday conducted an operation against drugs at Jalukbari and seized huge amount of Brown Sugar.

Two ladies, who have been identified as Sahira Begum and Hasina Begum, have been apprehended in relation to t he seized drugs.

Officials have informed that the two apprehend had been running their business at Katia Dolong area since a long time. Sahira and Hasina are presently in Police custody, with further investigations being conducted.

Such operations shall be conducted in a continued manner across the city, officials said.
