A bus caught fire while travelling on the NH 37 near Ganesh Mandir in Khanapara late on Thursday night. 

Thedriver and the passengers of the bus had a narrow escape from death in the incidentas they were able to quickly climb out of the burning vehicle, reportssaid. 

Asthe bus caught fire, chaos and confusion prevailed in the area. Local residentslater informed the fire department about the blaze. 

The blaze could only be brought under control after an hour by the fire officials. The incident is said to have taken place at around 10 pm tonight.
