Amid reports that the Assam government is 'likely' to withdraw the lockdown relaxations in Guwahati, Biswajit Pegu, the Deputy Commissioner of Kamrup Metropolitan made it clear that no such decision has been taken and the relaxation of the lockdown in the city is not revoked or considered.

Speaking exclusively to Pratidin Time, the deputy commissioner said, " The situation is yet to be normal for the lockdown to be relaxed or lifted completely in the district".
