Ahead of coming Lok Sabha Elections, the city traffic police, in accordance with the instructions issued by the city police commissioner, conducted a drive against windshields of cars coated with tint films, and removed such films from cars on Monday.

However, in spite of Supreme Court order against using tint, there had been worrisome rise in the number of vehicles using tint film since about a year.
