Guwahati Railway station gets tallest flag in NE Railway stations

Pratidin Bureau

The Guwahati Railway station on Wednesday got the tallest tricolour among any railway station in northeast India. The flag stands tall at a height of 100 feet.

The process of beautification has been going on in the railway station, said an official of the Northeast Frontier Railway (NF Railway) on Wednesday. Meanwhile, the NF Railway tweeted about the installation of the 100 feet high tricolor, which read, "A 100 ft high Tricolour now flies over Guwahati station. The first of such height in any railway station in northeast India."

Notably, Guwahati is also the home of the third tallest tricolour in the country. But unfortunately, it has become a rare sight to see the flag high-up in the air.
