Guwahati Traffic Police attacked at Beharbari

In a shocking incident, a traffic police was attacked in Beharbari area in Guwahati on Sunday. The incident took place during the time when fire-tenders were trying to douse the fire at Beharbari area which took place today. The constable of Guwahati Traffic Police, Ankur Neog, was attacked by three youths.

As per the reports, heavy traffic was witnessed at Kali Mandir Path of Beharbari following the massive fire that gutted a cotton factory. Three youths, who were travelling in an Uber taxi (AS-01-KC-8929), attacked the traffic constable at the spot after exchanging a few words.

The locals handed the youths to the police. One of the youths has been identified as Abhilesh Goswami. Later, Ankur, the traffic constable, lodged an FIR at the Basistha police station regarding the incident.
