Joining in Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) has been still being continued in Assam along with the other states of the country.

Reportedly, a few artists of Assamese film industry like Moytree Priyadarshini Sarmah, Ahir Bhairav and Udai Sankar Bhuyan had joined BJP in the presence of Union Minister General V. K. Singh at the state BJP office, Hengerabari (Guwahati) on Tuesday.

Later he had interacted with the newly joined workers for some time regarding development.

It may be stated that, a few members of local organizations in Assam like All Assam students Union (AASU), Gorkha Development Board (GDB), Saraniya Kachari development Board (SKDB), Madahi Development Board (MDB), Barman Dimasa Kachari Development Board (BDKDB), and Nath Yogi Development Board (NYDB) also joined BJP today.
