Pratidin Bureau

It is not compulsory for shopkeepers, employees and delivery persons to carry their COVID-19 test results while opening shops and other permitted establishments from July 20 in Guwahati.

This was informed by the Health and Family Welfare Department of the Government of Assam on Sunday evening. Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma also shared the latest notification regarding this.

However, the District Administration may deploy COVID-19 testing teams to carry out Rapid Antigen Tests of the management and staff of the shops. In such a case, the owner or the management is expected to extend full cooperation to the testing team in the larger public interest.
