Hijacker of Supari Truck Arrested at Sarthebari

The Sarthebari police on Monday arrested one Rahim Khan who was involved in the hijacking of supari laden truck heading towards Delhi from Guwahati.

Police recovered supari worth Rs. 1.15 crores from the godown of RahimKhan on Saturday. Police said that Khan was involved in the hijack of a truckloaded with supari bearing registration number HR 55 S 3352.

Police informed that Khan had hijacked the truck by making the driverand the handyman of the truck senseless with intoxicated drugs at Jogighopaafter which he had loaded the supari at his godown.

Police seized the truck from Jogighopa with the help of GPS after they received information regarding the hijack of the truck and arrested Khan on Monday who was absconding from two days.
