PWD Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma presented a report of all that the department had accomplished from May 02 till date. Sarma presented the report in a press meet on Sunday.

Sarma said that Rs 5.7 crore have been sanction for development of the roads.Work on building roads under the Uttaran scheme is going on in 50 constituencies, he added.

Stating that there are 1179 wooden bridges, the minister informed that the department is aimed at asphaltification of these bridges. Rs 1046 crore have been sanctioned for the purpose and will be built with financial assistance from NABARD.
